Hello, I’m Krystal

I’ve been on an exciting and rewarding writing journey for over 15 years, which began as a freelance writer for a national music and lifestyle magazine.  My writing experiences span the genres of Arts/Entertainment, Beauty/Retail, Marketing/Public Relations and Internal Communication.

While working as a freelance writer for multiple local and national publications, I nurtured a love of creating and writing copy for print and web.  In 2014, after meeting with the Director of the Milwaukee Short Film Festival, who I had previously worked on film projects with, I took on the position of Marketing Director for the festival.  I accepted the challenge of utilizing my marketing experience and writing capabilities to increase visibility on and offline for the organization. I create engaging content that speaks to our specific audience, while advertising and marketing copy spreads the organization’s mission.

As a communications professional, I’ve polished my skill set in media outreach, content curation, strategic planning and development, brand management and web/social media analytics to harness the art of storytelling.
